Marijuana Use – and Abuse – in the U.S. Has Doubled in the Past Decade

In “Marijuana Use—and Abuse—in the U.S. Has Doubled in the Past Decade” in Newsweek, Dr. Sack discusses a study that was just released in JAMA on the increasing rates of marijuana use disorders. The general findings are that use of the drug has doubled between 2001 and 2013 and that diagnosis of abuse and dependence has increased from 1.5 percent to 2.9 percent. Read more here.
